error 651

error 651 and how to fix it

Hi Guys,

I was so pissed off when I came to un****ge broadway,sydney, the internet is a dial up and expensive! ( I feel go back to stone age :[ ) but, it was just a beginning for my problem, I couldnt connect to internet while my mom's computer able to. It keeps pooping error 651 : couldnt connect to internet. Here is the question, How to solve a problem to connect to internet, while it cannot connect to internet?

I tried to contact the Internet provider and they claimed that the internet was working perfectly and the computer is at faulty (of course not for ME!) and told me to contact the manufacture to see manufacture and they told me that I must pay aud $100 to see what happened to my computer (its not solving the problem!) so i decided to bring my computer to a cafe and browse on internet what can I do. Turned out there are a lot people who experience same problem. some said to replace raspppoe.sys in windows 7 with the one in vista may solve the problem but its too risky to do that. and the others said to disable win 7 auto tuning feature , reinstall modem also overcome the problem, but never try though.

if you are experiencing same problem as me, you can do these tricks.
try to plug in/ off the LAN cable and pay attention to the small lamps that indicates connect or not. when they are connected it is flick and then try to connect again.
restart the computer also one of the option, i tried this one, never work though.
